Ways To Heat Your Sunroom

Having a sunroom is great, but without heat, they're only beneficial for a few months out of the year. To solve this problem, most people add climate control for year-round use. However, there are a few other options out there to turn your sunroom into a four seasons room.

Space Heater Adding a space heater to your sunroom is great for short amounts of time. Remember, a space heater should only be on when someone is in the room as it can potentially be a fire hazard if left too close to flammable objects.

Tip: Adding a thick rug or carpet will help insulate the room.

Extending Vents Extending your HVAC vents into the sunroom may be another option, this is great for heating as well as air conditioning. However, this option can very expensive, challenging, and take up a lot of room.

Minisplits Another great option is a ductless minisplit. Ductless heating has become more popular and works well in sunrooms due to their small size. It's as powerful as central heating, easy to control, and less expensive over time.
